Milled D-Log Log Homes
D-logs are round on the
exterior side and flat on the interior side. Also known as milled or
machined logs, they come in 6"x8", 7"9" or 8"x10" radiuses, depending
on desired look and budget. The advantage of D-logs is that the rounded
exterior gives the traditional log home look from the outside, with the
advantage of a flat interior side, which is easier to dust. Also, the
smooth interior surface can be modified with paint or drywall, and it's
simpler to hang things on the flat, interior.

Handpeeled Swedish
Cope Logs
Logs are processed, hand-peeled, pre-assembled, and inspected according
to strict quality standards. During the assembly at the manufacturing
facility, the expert woodworkers ensure the log walls will remain tight
throughout the natural seasoning and settling process. Each log is
hand-peeled with a drawknife, hand-scribed, chiselled, and cut with
chain saws to form a perfect fit to the log below. The logs are marked
carefully according to the construction plan, disassembled, and then
shipped directly to your location for reassembly.

Milled Swedish Cope
Logs
The groove removed from the bottom of each log allows to the logs to
stack firmly on top of each other. This groove is machined to exact
specifications to create a load-bearing, weather-tight seal. The
advantage of the Swedish Cope style is that it appeals to homeowners
who prefer the rounded logs on both the exterior and interior sides of
the home. Aesthetically pleasing, the Swedish Cope log can be used in
both the internal and external walls to give the look of full, round
logs.
